Fruitvale Presbyterian Chuch Votes To Close

On April 22, 2012, the members of Fruitvale Presbyterian Church voted to close as a worshiping body. The tentative date for closure is Sunday, September 2. In the coming months, the congregation will be visiting worship services at other churches (see below).

May Events

Looking for a new home

This summer we will be worshipping as a community at nearby Presbyterian churches, so that we can make some connections and begin to discern where God is calling us to be next. We will visit a new congregation every other week, beginning May 20th. On those Sundays, we will meet at our church prior to the service for 15 minutes of prayer, songs, and sharing, and then go together to the church we will visit.

Visitation schedule:

• May 20: Meet at church at 9:45 for song and prayer on the patio. Carpool to College Ave. Presbyterian Church, Oakland, where worship begins at 10:30am

• June 3: We will visit Montclair Presbyterian Church, Oakland.
  
  
• June 17: We will visit Park Blvd. Presbyterian Church, Oakland.
  
  
• July 1: We will visit Bethel Community Presbyterian Church, San Leandro.Please contact Pastor Abby for more information.

Fruitvale Senior Activities Center meets every Wednesday 9:30am - 1:30pm

12:15 Lunch – Cost of Lunch is $2.50 provided by BACS (2nd Wednesdays it is $5.00, provided by Montclair Lions Club)

Sunday Morning Services

Worship at 9 and 11am. Children are welcome throughout the service. Fellowship and refreshments between the services at 10am in Lyman Hall.
